i am DYING to re-do the office. right now it’s a horrible mishmash of furniture, shelves and other things i don’t want in any other room! i’m so embarrassed of it i keep the door closed when guests come over.

that god awful handshag rug, smelly old couch and my grandparents ancient hand me down television. this is the place where my musical tastes were formed.

i would spend hours watching music videos, (um back when they played music videos on tv) and record all the good ones on VHS. mostly of female fronted alternative bands, because i wanted so badly to be them.

marcus’ mom and step-dad have the most amazing lush, green path behind their sprawling yard. it really is sort of mystical…like faeries and tree people live amongst the intersecting paths leading into the forest…and it’s definitely a fantastic place to take photos. this one is of marcus’ neice and she insisted on giving me the full tour of the path…i’m glad she did

ahh, cargo plantlove lipstick in “evangeline”. how you elude me.

you know when you find the most perfect, lovely lipstick colour you’ve only dreamed about?

well i did awhile ago…and naturally, it was a limited edition. i’ve seriously bought at least 5 other shades trying to find something similar, but nada.

i’m obsessed with coral lips and this was MY coral. if anyone knows where i can stock up, please let me know.

major fashion wtf

is this really even considered fashion? every designer interview i’ve ever seen has expressed their desire to make women feel sexy, beautiful, edgy or strong. this designer apparently wants to make women feel like gollum. i’m really interested to know what statement he was trying to make. fashion to me is all about fun, and i really don’t see anyone having any fun. also, is it just me or do some of these models have the creepiest boobs ever? i just can’t relate, yo.

not often i get to say that, but i have a monday off all to myself.

a possible list of things i could do:

clean out my dresser (maybe store clothes in it i actually wear?)
get my hair did (really not interested in letting it grow anymore)
go patio furniture shopping (so i can have a real grown up patio instead of glorified bike storage).
plant strawberries (i got me one of those hang & grow things!)
ride my bike to the ocean (now that summer seems to be arriving…)
go suburb thrifting (the downtown thrift stores are always kinda already pilfered)
snorgle my pup and watch 80′s movies (is there anything better?)

i guess you could say i’m taking a proper crack at this again.

i read a lot of blogs. i really like photo blogs. i am often fantasizing about a world where i have a really awesome, cohesive lifestyle/photo blog.

so, we begin with some snapshots from this past weekend.

marcus who was my assistant while i did a portrait session for a friends meditation/wellness website.

sometimes the clouds over victoria are pretty epic.

i’m such a bleeding heart. i feel so sad every time i pass a lost cat or dog poster

here is proof i made dinner! unfortunately it happens less than i care to admit. i grilled tofurkey sausages, asparagus and peppers in balsamic glaze and garlic. YUM.

blogging….what a weird word.

i like it though, it’s almost cumbersome to say…. i like the whole word/photo voyeurism of it all, really.

i am starting a new one, away from livejournal to go along with a somewhat new take on documenting my life in random sentences and photos. i am not looking to create a following or anything cause i just couldn’t handle the pressure to track every detail, as interesting as it is

so here goes, i will try to actually regularly capture some of the thoughts i have and share some moments in photographs, even if they are only shared with myself.
